The 4th Sundrop
Jan. 9th, 2011 10:22 pmEugene is here!! He's actually been here for a few days now, but he's still getting used to this place...I think he's taking all of this worse than I did! He's staying next door to me, which is nice.
[A small, quiet sigh can be heard.]
It's odd...I only made him be my guide because I wanted to see the floating lights...but there aren't any here, are they? And they only showed up on my birthday, anyway...and it's winter here. So I guess they won't show up again for...6 months, I think. But they probably won't show up here.
I was really excited about finally being able to see them...I guess I can wait, but...I guess it'll be different, when I go back.
Eugene, even though we can't go see the lights here, you'll still be my friend, right? I know we were only supposed to be on the road for 3 days, but...well, unexpected change of plans, I guess.
...I tried making a new pie today. But I had that problem again...without my cookbook I keep using the wrong amounts of ingredients, so I ended up having enough filling to make 4 pies! Banana cream, to be exact! I'd never tried making it before, because for some reason, Mother really doesn't like bananas...I don't know why. Maybe it's because they're yellow.
So, once again, I have leftovers, only this time it's pie! Is it weird that I keep doing that? Probably...but once I get a cookbook or something this probably won't happen again maybe!
...and a chessboard. It'd be nice to play chess again...I didn't realize how many things in my tower I would actually miss if I was gone, even for a day...and it's odd. I don't really miss Mother anymore either...
