Well, I guess it wasn't this long when I was a baby.

It's just always been long. Not this specific length, just...long.

I used to step on it all the time when I was younger. It made Mother furious.

I don't do it anymore, but other people step on it...

I sing, and it glows...and it has the ability to heal.

It's weird, I know, but it's always been like this. I cut it, it loses its ability and it turns brown...which is why I can't cut it.

I'm not really used to telling people about it, but people here seem to be different.

Mother said that when I was a baby, people tried to take my hair for themselves...they cut it, which is why I've got that little brown bit.

A gift like this needs to be protected, and the world is filled with people who would try to take advantage of it...so I've never told anybody, and this was why Mother never let me leave the tower...

But I don't think she's right. People here aren't bad, and I feel like I've got to make my own decisions about who to trust with the knowledge of my hair.

Not yet, no...I'm not telling everybody I know about it. But I feel like not telling people I like about it is like lying...

And I've got a gift. I'm going to use it to help people. I've started volunteering down at the hospital.

I don't know if I can use it up or not. I mean, the only people I've ever used it on are Mother, Flynn, and Neil. And I've only used it on Flynn and Neil once.
