Oh, I sort of like this curse. It's nice, seeing all these people here...even if it's just for a weekend.

...Eugene? Maximus? Are you out there? I...I know you can't stay, but...well, I really miss you guys...

[Don't mind Rapunzel. She's just looking for that weird Eugene she talked to last time she was here who didn't remember everything. She certainly isn't looking for herself, but there's no mistaking that hair.]

[You definitely look like her, Rapunzel, except for the hair, which is short...and brown. But that actually makes sense, except for how it got that way.

Rapunzel just grins.]

I don't think it does or else everyone would talk to themselves and it'd be normal.

[Rapunzel tilts her head slightly, to look at herself better.]

It seems really nice! There're so many people and they've all been super friendly.

[A pause followed by a sheepish laugh.]

Yeeeeah. Kind of an accident, but... [but really, telling yourself what you're going to do/have done doesn't seem clever] ...but it's nice! Climbing isn't very easy anymore and sometimes I still feel like I'm missing something really important, but I'm getting used to it.

[Rapunzel blinks and shrugs.] It does look sort of nice, though I bet I'd miss the climbing...Mother must have been furious, though!

She... wasn't that happy, no. [ANYWAY let's talk about something else.]

So! Is Eugene here? I talked to him last time and he thought I was you until I explained things to him. [Er.] Not that I'm not you, because I kind of am, but you know what I mean.

[Rapunzel raises an eyebrow. Is everything okay with Mother? She's now a bit worried, but doesn't say anything.]

Well...no...he went back home about a month ago. I miss him...but I have this feeling that he's going to show up today. And even if it's only for a weekend, I'd like to be able to talk with him.

[She smiles and laughs.]
I know what you mean. I am you and you are me, after all!

You know, I think I like how you--er, I...us looks with the short hair!

[If Flynn went home, then that means that--no, but there's only one at home. But then how many Pascals are there?]

You know Eugene... he'll be back before you can miss him too much and I know he wouldn't leave you--me--us alone for very long.

[Rapunzel mirrors... well, Rapunzel's smile and laughter.]

It's a good thing we know ourself so well or this would be really confusing!

You wouldn't believe how much easier short hair is! It doesn't take any time to brush it, hardly, and it never gets caught in anything or stepped on or tangled up!

I know. I'm sure he'll be back soon. He didn't really have a choice in leaving, either, so.

[She grins again.]

It looks really nice too. I never did like spending all that time brushing it, or stepping on it...

Well... even if he didn't have a choice in leaving, he's not going to stay away.

[almost wistfully] Or tripping over it, or having it get in the way all the time. I guess I do miss it, kind of.

It's all right...I mean, maybe now that it's all normal, it'll grow back normally? I mean, that one little bit didn't, but maybe that was because it was the only little bit...

Well, Eugene has good taste!

We'll see! It doesn't matter too much anyway. There's so much more to us than our hair and sometimes I don't know if many people know that.

[brightly] Of course he does! He likes us!

...How confused do you think Eugene would be if he showed up and there were two of us here at the same time?

Exactly! Our hair is only one of the reasons we're so awesome!

[Somebody has more self confidence living in the City, and she grins.]
