I have NEVER been so happy to see the sun before...I thought the night could be dark before this weekend, but I never thought it could be that dark...

[She maaaay have a bit of a fear of the dark. Blame the crazy mother again.]

I wonder, though...all those people who got special powers over the weekend...do any of them still have them? Or was that just a weekend only thing?

[Rapunzel, you are not going to find somebody who also has magical hair. And this does not count as asking.]

It was probably just a weekend thing. Oh well.

Yeah. I can start fires with a thought. It's nifty. I think a few others could, over the weekend. It was pretty neat to see the many ways it manifested itself.

It's...not something I use too much, since I've been told my whole life I need to protect it, otherwise people will try to abuse it...

I haven't met them yet, but...Mother always told me the world was full of dark awful people...but being here, I haven't seen any of that yet...

I like to think the world is full of decent people, in general, with awful people scattered throughout.

[The trick is for Charlie to actually believe that.]

I remember that. We worked as waitresses on roller skates. Hello, again!

I hope you're right...I mean, that's what I've been seeing, ever since I left the tower, but I'm sure Mother has her reasons for making things sound so awful.

That was fun! I'd never been rollerskating before, it was exciting!
