So...I've been thinking about this for a little while now...and even though I'm not really sure exactly how this is going to work...I think I'm gonna do it. Yeah, I'm gonna do this!

So, Mr. Stark told me that I should sell those pies that I made a while back...so I thought about it, and I decided that I'm going to open a bakery here!

I mean, I don't really know how to run a business, or how to get a place to sell things here...so maybe this isn't the best idea, but...well, I'd like to maybe try to become more independent, show people that I can do things on my own and that I'm not a kid anymore...

[Well, the one person she really wants to show that she's a mature, responsible adult who can take care of herself isn't here, but that's besides the point.]

...I think I'll probably need help, though...Oh, maybe I should've thought this through more...I don't even have a bakery name yet...

I do, actually. I've got a job currently, and I've been saving my paycheck from that...and my boss there said she'd be willing to let me start things up there initially too, which is great of her.

Start things... [ he wrinkles his brow ] You may need more capital then that for a business. But, depending on where you set up shop, we might be able to make things stretch...

I'm not sure I've got enough to rent a building yet...but my boss said we could sell the pies and stuff in the tea shop as a startup place, and she'd let me keep the money made from the baked goods...

[ oh ho! Now this was getting somewhere. ] What a great marketing ploy. That will help build up a name for your shop and guarantee customers once it opens.

Of course there will still be plenty of work ahead of us. We can't take things lightly! Shall I arrange an appointment so we can sit down properly and write up a formal draft for the new business?

Then early evening say... a week from now? [ that will give him some time to do some research. He is still new to the City, but materials for start-up businesses shouldn't be difficult to find. And he'll need to set up a formal contract for his wages. ]
