The 56th Song [Action]
Dec. 11th, 2011 06:59 pmI don't get it. They're just sort of weed plants, right? How do they grow out of the ceiling like that?
[Rapunzel's at her job at the tea shop, since she's still working there for now, and she's just completely baffled by the mistletoe that appears to be growing out of the ceiling.]
[ooc: heheh. This is gonna be great.]

Date: 2012-01-04 04:10 am (UTC)Good. It makes things easier, even situations like yours. Maybe you can explain to your mother the outside world isn't bad, so there's no reason to keep you in any longer, especially if you've already been there.

Date: 2012-01-04 04:12 am (UTC)[Siiiigh.]
I did! I don't think I have the constellations right, though, so I came up with my own names for them.
[Magic hair isn't nefarious, it's just sort of there.]
That's very nice of you, thank you!
I'd like to tell her that. Maybe when I go home, I'll find a way to talk to her...

Date: 2012-01-04 04:28 am (UTC)What kind of names?
[He'd still say cut it off.]
... [Nice. He's nice? Wow. She's nice herself.] You're welcome.
It's a worth a try. It would help to give her examples, as well. Show her you're responsible and the outside world isn't going to be a problem for you.

Date: 2012-01-04 04:33 am (UTC)Oh, they're nothing special...just descriptive names. I know they have to have real names, but I haven't had a proper astronomy book...
[But Mother would be so mad if she did!! Also, new friend get!]
I just need to prove to her that I'm strong enough to survive on my own. It doesn't mean I won't come home, it just means that I can go out and survive!
I like you, you listen to my silly complaining.

Date: 2012-01-09 01:19 am (UTC)Well, if we find someone who knows the stars very well you can exchange your information and learn the official names. Until then, it takes some sort of creativity to name them like that.
Exactly. If you explain all of that to her and show her, hopefully she'll come around. [The whole keeping her locked up thing reeks, but since Rapunzel seems otherwise happy...he doesn't want to make too big a deal out of it, for now.]
[And have a single, light laugh.] It's not silly. You have an honest upset, and every right to speak of it if you want.

Date: 2012-01-09 01:35 am (UTC)I'd like that a lot, actually...it'd be nice to know what they're all officially called.
[She grins and nods, laughing a bit.] I hope so. I mean, I'm not a child anymore, so she has to let go eventually, right?
Well, that's very nice of you, thank you.

Date: 2012-01-09 02:25 am (UTC)I didn't study them, other than some of the stories in relation to them, so I can't be too much help there.
She does.... How old are you, anyway?
You're welcome, though, it's really just the truth. I hope no one else calls it silly complaining.

Date: 2012-01-09 02:39 am (UTC)There are stories in relation to them? I didn't know that...
Oh, well, I guess I'm 18 at home. I'm 19 here, though.
Well...[Mother does.]

Date: 2012-01-10 03:35 am (UTC)Yes. Myths and legends. Have you heard any of them?
[He's a bit stunned. Thought she was a tad younger, but being so sheltered, well, it makes sense.]
Well...? [That's sad.]

Date: 2012-01-10 03:39 am (UTC)No, I haven't. I'd love to, though.
Well...Mother thinks its silly.

Date: 2012-01-10 04:53 pm (UTC)We should meet up then, sometime when there are...no suspicious green plants growing everywhere.
...it's not silly. I can't believe a mother would think that. [What kind of mother is she? If he started to complain his parents would listen immediately, probably just be happy he's talking to them!]

Date: 2012-01-10 06:36 pm (UTC)I think that's a good idea! The library might be a safe place...
Well, Mother is sort of old fashioned, I guess.

Date: 2012-01-11 12:48 am (UTC)The library a good idea, too. We can find some books on the constellations and stars for you, so you can read them yourself.
Old fashioned? She doesn't sound too concerned for your feelings.

Date: 2012-01-11 01:11 am (UTC)Okay, that sounds really nice! I'll meet you there!
She loves me, she's just a bit stern, that's all.

Date: 2012-01-11 01:27 am (UTC)As long as you know she cares for you. [He really hopes she does, but doesn't like what he's heard thus far. Still, he doesn't want to upset his new friend until he has proof.]

Date: 2012-01-11 02:34 am (UTC)I know she does. She's my mother! [She has to, right? Just wait until Gothel shows up. If she shows up. Then you'll get your proof.]

Date: 2012-01-16 03:22 am (UTC)[He says nothing else to that. But yeah, if she ever does, and he gets his proof, that won't be a happy day.]
[ooc: I think this thread is done, but if you actually want to thread out them in the library looking up myths about the stars, just drop a line and let me know. I'm totally up for that to have something going on DW, and to continue their CR. It was cute. ;A;]
