[Rapunzel looks absolutely miserable...she's pale, her nose is runny, and every time she tries to talk, she starts coughing and sneezing.

She groans a bit.]

What...what's wrong with me...? I...I've never felt like this before...

[She bursts into another coughing fit, which ends with several sneezes.]

Oh...oh dear, what was that...?

[As somebody who's never been sick before, she's scared and confused.]

Being sick...makes you stronger? I...don't really understand.

Immune system reacts to outside disease. Disease gets defeated. Immune system learns how to react to a particular type of disease in faster better method for the next time. By being sick, it becomes harder for you to become sick in the same manner, or a similar manner. Disease does change, so not perfect system, but does its best. Does that make sense, or do I have to use metaphors?

...so, if you get sick...your body knows how to fight what got you sick the first time, so you won't get that again...or if you get that again, you can fight off the sick a lot better?

...I think I understand....

Good. Will keep an eye on you. Said never got sick, so is possible that you're immunologically compromised. Don't want you to get really sick. Suggest you rest. Get someone who isn't sick to help you, or report to the hospital. If it isn't full that is.

Okay...I'll stay in bed, and I have a friend coming over...

...thank you, for the advice. I'm sorry I keep asking so many questions.

Good. Good. Keep your liquids up, and if you start feeling worse, don't be afraid to call a doctor.

No, questions good. Questions show you're trying to pay attention and take everything in. Rather have a patient ask too many questions then ask too few questions. Questions could be the difference between someone getting better and someone getting even sicker.

I'll make sure to drink a lot of juice!

Oh, wow...Now I want a book about all these sorts of sick things...

Good. Good.

Hmm. Can't suggest a good book inherently. Lack of knowledge on the idea of sickness itself begs a book onto itself before getting into individual types of sickness. Try the Library. Or ask around the Network. Might get lucky that way. [Totally doesn't know about the problems with the Library]

Okay, once I feel better I'll try the library.
