I only asked Mother once where babies came from...and she said that almost all the time, the whole process of making babies breaks a woman and that I'm an only child because she refused to do it again.

Nothing against your mother, but that's nonsense - or if it isn't, I'm sorry for her for making such bad experinces, but it certainly shouldn't and doesn't have to break anyone.
