Okay, I have a question!


Sooo...When I left home to come here, it was my birthday at home. Which was in the summer. But it was winter here...so I guess it wasn't really my birthday here.

But my birthday is this month, so I'm really confused about what I should be doing. Am I turning 18 because it wasn't my birthday when I got here? Or am I turning 19 because it was my birthday at home when I left?

Pascal and I have been talking about this, and we both got confused...so he suggested asking somebody here, because somebody here MUST know what I should be doing.

Time here is very confusing, isn't it? Because...even though my birthday is this month, back home, when I go back, it'll be my birthday again, but not this specific one...

I think I'm giving myself a headache trying to think about this.

I think so. You know, this is only my second birthday away from Mother too...or maybe it's my first. The time thing again is confusing me. But either way, since she's not here, I could maybe have a birthday party with actual people! It's only ever been her and me, so maybe it'd be fun to do something with more than 2 people.

Nope, never. Well, Pascal would be there, but he's always there with me, so I don't know if it counts...

He was my only friend until I left the tower, though, so I guess he does count.

Well, I've always thought my birthday was sort of special.

Well, it was the day I was born. Every person's birthday is special, isn't it? At least to them...

...But at home, the lights--lanterns, I have to keep reminding myself that they're lanterns-- they appear in the sky. Just watching them...it's magical.

What? OH, no no no no no! They didn't do it for me! They do it for the Lost Princess...that's what Flynn told me. It just happens on my birthday, thats all.

Oh, it's amazing...I look forward to it every year. I was going to get to watch it up close the day I got here, but they'll be there when I get home!

No, she hasn't...I don't know much about her, though. I bet Flynn does, you could ask him!

I wish I knew about her. It sounds like a fascinating story...but tragedies are always sort of fascinating.
