So...what exactly does one do at a birthday party, anyway? How does one go about throwing it?

I mean, I know that my birthday isn't until the 21st, but it's my first birthday party and I want to do it right, so that everybody has a good time. I just don't know what to do!

Pascal was surprisingly not very helpful. And he usually knows everything! But he's at a loss too...I wonder if he's ever had a birthday party. He doesn't know what day his birthday is, so he and I usually celebrate our birthday's together!

Oooh, I wonder if I should throw him a birthday party too! I should ask him if he wants one!

...I'm talking too much again, aren't I? Oh well. So, like I tried to say, birthday parties! I don't know how to plan or throw one. What do I do?

I've never had a birthday party either. If you figure out how it works, you should let people know! Or write a pamphlet about it, or something!

We could figure it out together, and then write a pamphlet. I've never written a pamphlet before.

And of course I'm going to invite all my friends. I...actually have a lot of friends here. It's sort of weird to think of me having more than one or two friends, but there it is.

Well, it's a day about you, so I think you should do whatever you wanna do. There aren't really any rules. Or at least, there shouldn't be.

I'm glad you have a lot of friends now. I mean, just having a few really good friends is the important thing, but it's always nice to have more.

It depends how many people are coming. How much cake can people eat in one sitting? Like, half a cake each?

The number one necessary is having a great time. And cake. And gifts. They all tie in the number one spot.

And if you've never had a birthday party? You really need to go all out! Invite everyone! Have a blast!

I think all my friends are important. I want to be close to all of them, but I know that's hard. I've learned so much since I got here!

Well, you're supposed to have one for each year of how old you are--I mean unless you're really old, plus one for luck I think, and then you make a wish and try to blow them all out with just one breath.

Oh, that sounds cool...I think I did that when I was little, but Mother was worried about my hair catching fire, so we stopped that when I was...I think 6? I can't remember.

Well the most important thing is what you'd want to do since it is your birthday after all.

There's cake, of course. Decorations and music, and various types of food for your guests you're inviting. You can also include a couple of party games or whatever you'd like to do with your friends.
