The 16th Sundrop [Video] [Contains Tangled Spoilers]

[A young woman with short brown hair, a chameleon on her shoulder, and a crown on her head is wandering around the fountain, looking a bit confused. It's funny, really, because she looks a lot like Rapunzel, even with the short brown hair...maybe it's the chameleon...

She sighs, frustrated, before sitting down on the edge of the fountain and looking at the chameleon.]

Well, we're definitely lost, Pascal. I told you we shouldn't have taken that shortcut of yours! Oh, Mother and Daddy are gonna be so worried...

[The chameleon goes red and squeaks in irritation, causing the girl (Who is clearly Rapunzel), to sigh again.]

Yes, I know it was my idea to give the guards the slip. But you know they worry way too much about me, I can't have fun or be myself when I go out with them! And you think so too.

[Pascal goes green again and nods.]

Besides, they scare off all the people. If I want to be a good ruler someday, I have to learn everything I can about the kingdom and its people! And the only way I can do that is going out and being with them! Besides, everybody in the city is nice, I like spending time with them...

[She sighs and frowns some more, slumping. Her crown slips a little bit.]

Well...I don't know where we are. Nothing looks familiar. I have no idea how we get back to the city, let alone the palace...I guess we should just wait...but that's booring...

[ooc: The Years That Never Were
What if Rapunzel had never been kidnapped by Gothel, or, if she had, what if she was found and brought back at a young age? What if she grew up with her real parents and was raised in the ways of royalty?

Rapunzel's personality and interests are exactly the same, she acts a little more...royalish. Pascal is still her best friend and companion. She's a little less naieve, a little more worldly, and apparently, her parents never quite got over that kidnapping attempt, so she's usually trailed by guards (which she hates).

Oh, and her hair got cut when she was younger, so its not magic. It can grow back to a normal length, but Princess Rapunzel likes her hair short.

She will not remember any of this come tomorrow.

I wish I had more icons so I could use all of Brunette!Rapunzel's expressions.]

Yes they do! Besides, he uses body language, since when they talk back, it's not like we can understand animal languages.

[Rapunzel puffs up, irritated. Pascal imitates her expression. Also, he turns orange.]

-He changed colour there! I thought 'e was a diff'rent colour before, but he definitely definitely changed! Is that how you know what he's thinkin' and stuff?

Yeah! He's a chameleon, he can change color to disguise into his environment...he uses color to show how he feels too, and believe me, you stick around somebody long enough you don't need to speak to them to know what they're saying!

[Pascal goes green, smiles, and nods.]

Nope! I thought they were too, when I first met Pascal. But I looked in a book and they...well, do it naturally. I don't know how, but they do!

He's my best friend.

[Er...sort of her only real friend. She doesn't fit in too well with the ladies at court.]

[She frowns and looks off, thinking...Pascal crawls off her shoulder and goes over to Allen's, to look at him and probably stick his tongue in your ear.]

Why bother- [He doesn't seem to mind Pascal crawling all over him, his expression even softens when the chameleon touches him... Up until the tongue thing, when he squirms and reaches to pull it away.] Gah! Don' do that!!

[She can't help but giggle a little.]

He does that sometimes when he feels that somebody is upset. I keep telling him, that just makes things worse, but.

[Letting go of Pascal's tongue and picking him up properly. He regards him for a moment or two, almost smiling. He's trying to cheer me up? This chameleon guy is pretty sweet, even if he doesn't have a great way of going about it, it's nice...]

[But then Red's instincts of 'Everyone is going to leave me alone, everyone always does PEOPLE SUCK I DON'T NEED THEM' kicks in and he shoves Pascal back towards Rapunzel]

[She sighs. Augh, be difficult, why dontcha. Rapunzel loves all people, including grumps with no names.]

Fiine. Be that way. It's still nice to meet you, even if you don't have a name. I'd call you by your name if you had one.

Well, I wandered away from my guards. I don't like being followed around by them all the time, and...well, everybody in the kingdom knows who I am, and I try to get along with everybody, no matter what part of town they're from!

I don' know who you are. An' you're definitely gonna get beat up with an attitude like that, people aren' nice and they'll hurt you jus' cause they want to. Or they're angry. Or they're bored, so don' be stupid an' think you'll be okay.

[For the record, this kid is incredibly bruised and looks like he's probably lost a fight every day of his life. He hasn't moved his left arm this entire conversation.]
